Cost-effective 3-Phase Power for Industrial Use and Home Workshops With PHASE-A-MATIC. Over the last 50 years, PHASE-A-MATIC has been a pioneer in developing reliable and long-life products. 3-phase motors run with a distinct advantage over single-phase motors when using the PHASE-A-MATIC static converter. This possible is because the current drawn at the start is nearly 6 times less and this enables the use of high HP motors. PHASE-A-MATICS Regular & Heavy-duty Static Phase Converters come in variable bands of horsepower ratings starting from 3/4 to 1-1/2 HP extending till 12 to 18 HP. Apply enough caution to not install a larger size PHASE-A-MATIC or heavy-duty series under the impression of getting more horsepower (HP) output. Static phase converters can only run motors and not auxiliary units like heating elements, power feed, coolant pump, resistive loads, rheostats, etc. For multiple motor applications, the largest motor must be chosen such that it is at least 50% larger than any other motor and must be started first on the same converter. You must also know that some European soft-start motors tend to draw less current on start and therefore may require a smaller than normal phase converter. However, most Taiwanese motors draw greater current at the start and for which selected models of PHASE-A-MATIC heavy-duty series are well-suited. PHASE-A-MATIC static phase converters run the majority of motors at two-third of their rated HP. Some imported motors from Germany or Italy have delta-wound coil-type motors which run at 50% of the rated HP.
Easy installation

Benefits

  • Full range of phase static converters to handle light to moderate to heavy loads.
  • With PHASE-A-MATIC static convertors, the current draw on start is approximately 6 times less which enables the use of high HP motors.
  • Inexpensive 3-phase power for domestic workshop & industrial use.

Applications

Runs more than one machine. Can operate 2 speed motors.

Features

  • Wide range of Phase Static Converters with maximum amperage 5.2 A to 50 A. Regular and Heavy-duty static phase converters each available in four bands of horsepower ranges. Popular because of instant reversing. Can give an output of approximately 2/3 of the rated horsepower. Supports three-phase or single-phase induction motors.
